The Jefferson County Genealogical Society meets the first Saturday of each month at 1:00 P. M. in the Mildred Metcalf room of the C. E. Brehm Library in Mt. Vernon, Ill. Everyone is welcome to attend these interesting meetings. Membership dues are $15.00 per year. Membership fee includes a subscription to the society's quarterly publication, "The Preserver", a magazine dedicated to the preservation of the history of Jefferson County and its people.
